About Magnificent Trimmings

My mother and I created our company, Magnificent Trimmings, in early 2004 as a way to bring to market my mother’s revolutionary idea of magnetized chandelier crystals.
The idea (which has now been officially patented) of using a magnet to hang crystals and ornaments from chandeliers and lamps was created in early 2002 as my mother struggled to “rejuvenate” her home décor. Instead of buying brand new fixtures, my mother simply wanted to dress up the beautiful chandeliers and lamps that she already owned.  After realizing that crystals would make the perfect embellishment to her fixtures, she struggled with actually attaching the embellishments to her fixtures. After many failed attempts of gluing, sewing, wiring, and drilling holes in various fixtures, she realized that there had to be a better way by which to attach ornaments or other embellishments to her lamps and chandeliers. And that was when a tiny gadget called a rare-earth magnet changed her life and the lives of millions of decorators forever! Capitalizing on the metallic properties of her chandelier, lamps, and lamp shades, my mother realized that attaching a small yet powerful rare earth magnet to the tip of her crystals was just the edge she needed to easily and instantly attach her embellishments to her treasured home décor accessories. Today, thanks to Light Charms, home decorators like my mother can simply “click and stick” their way to adding traditional, holiday, or seasonal sparkle to almost any lighting fixture in their home!
